Frequently Asked Questions
The Sleeper Bus from Da Nang to Lao Bao departs at 01:45 and returns around 18:00 the same day. The VIP Car is faster — night departure ~03:00, return by evening.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before departure, a 500,000 ₫ fee is retained (seats are reserved in advance). The next booking requires 100% prepayment. If the visa is not issued through no fault of yours, we refund 100%.
Such cases are extremely rare with properly prepared documents. If this happens through no fault of yours (no hidden deportations, etc.), we refund 100% of the visa fee. Our 24/7 manager will help find alternative solutions on the spot.
Russian citizens do not need a Laos visa — a free entry stamp is provided at the border. Other citizens (parts of CIS, EU, US) do need a visa: ~1,000,000 ₫ at the Laos consulate in Da Nang in advance (20 minutes), or ~1,500,000 ₫ at the border itself.
Single-entry closes the moment you leave Vietnam. Best if you don't plan to leave to Cambodia/Thailand/Laos during the visa's validity. Multi-entry (+$25 to any E-Visa) lets you enter and exit multiple times — recommended for travelers around Asia.
Your international passport (valid > 6 months), 200,000 ₫ in cash in small bills (passport fees at the crossing — four checkpoints at 50,000 ₫ each per person, handed directly to the border officer), a rain poncho or umbrella (you walk the crossing yourself) and your own food.
