Moonmilk is a chain of imported-food shops and the best-confirmed name in town, with four sources behind it. Its listed branches are 63 and 07 Nguyen Thien Thuat, 24 Tran Phu, 15 Tran Hung Dao, 50 Le Thanh Ton and 18-19 Pham Van Dong, plus one in An Viên. The directory iigo.vn gives opening hours of 07:00-22:00 and a hotline, +84 903 561 639, though it does not date its listing. The 2026 expat guide from Dai Nam says Moonmilk keeps buckwheat, kefir and herring.
Butter & Cream
Butter & Cream stands at 34s Nguyen Thien Thuat, on the third line back from the sea, across from the Galiot hotel. It is open 08:00-23:00 daily, according to the travel agency that wrote it up. The assortment named there is long: sour cream, kefir, cottage cheese, ryazhenka (baked fermented milk), cheeses, sausages, sprats, varenyky, pelmeni, cold meat jelly, buckwheat and other grains. The same description says some items cost less than at Moonmilk.
FreShop
FreShop is a Russian-goods shop named by three sources, including the Dai Nam guide of 2026, which lists buckwheat, herring and kefir. No source gives a confirmed address, so look it up by name and read the latest reviews first.
Wellmart in An Viên
Wellmart minimarket & coffee stands in the south of the city, in An Viên, phone +84 335 225 087. It sells bread, sausages, Alyonka chocolate, sunflower seeds and pastries, with a café inside. The detailed description dates from July 2020, so call to confirm that the item you need is in stock.
Other names
FoodHouse is mentioned by one guide, and Amart Supermarket at 60 Nguyen Thien Thuat appears in a search listing. Neither is confirmed as a Russian-food shop, so call before you make the trip.
What does the “Made in Russia” corner at WinMart sell?
The corner opened at a Nha Trang WinMart on 16 June 2026 and is the third of its kind in Vietnam. Goods are delivered directly and certified, and the shelves hold kvass, meat snacks, smoked sausages, smoked cheese and sunflower oil. Buckwheat and cottage cheese are missing from the organisers’ list, and they do not say which WinMart branch hosts the corner.
Which area of Nha Trang should you rent in to be near the shops?
The centre between Nguyen Thien Thuat, Hung Vuong and Tran Phu has the densest cluster, and the north near Mường Thanh Oceanus in Vĩnh Hải and Vĩnh Phước has a second. In An Viên, a 2026 guide reports few shops within walking distance, so you need a motorbike for groceries. A fixed address matters if you stay several months.

Long stays in Nha Trang run into a different deadline, the visa: an e‑visa lasts at most 90 days, and an overstay ends in a fine and trouble at the airport on exit. A new e‑visa takes an evening on evisa.gov.vn, and you can do that yourself. I handle the exit itself: a visa run from Nha Trang with BestBus Vietnam leaves on a schedule and takes one day. Are Lotte Mart, Go! and MM Mega Market worth the trip?
Only as a back-up: open sources do not confirm buckwheat or cottage cheese on their shelves, so do not make them the first stop for Russian food. The big supermarkets sit in the west of the city: Lotte Mart and MM Mega Market on 23 Tháng 10 street, Go! in Vĩnh Điềm Trung.
Lotte Mart opened in 2016, covers 13,000 square metres and carries more than 30,000 items. Go! used to be Big C, and the importer Russian Mart VN says its goods reach Big C and Go! as well as WinMart. The importer describes itself as a supplier of Russian and Eastern European goods since 2016, with licence No. 361/GP-BCT of 17 July 2023. Its catalogue holds sunflower oil, Martin seeds, Goodwill grains, Makfa pasta and Pobeda chocolate.
How much does Russian food cost in Nha Trang?
None of these shops posts prices online, so I cannot quote one for buckwheat or cottage cheese. The best anchor is the 2026 guide by Kolokol Travel: cheese, butter, sour cream, mayonnaise and chocolate are imports and cost two to three times Russian prices. A litre of milk at Go! or Lotte Mart costs about $1.4-1.5 (35,000-38,000 dong) in that guide, and another 2026 survey gives up to $1.9.
Butter & Cream says it undercuts Moonmilk on some items, so a basket of buckwheat, kefir, cottage cheese and sour cream is worth pricing at both shops and comparing the receipts.
Can you buy produce at the markets or order Russian food online?
The Xóm Mới and Chợ Đầm markets sell no Russian grains or dairy, but they are the place for fruit. Kolokol Travel’s 2026 prices: mango $0.8-1.5 per kilogram, dragon fruit $0.8-1.3 per kilogram and pineapple $0.6-1.0 each. Sellers often quote foreigners double, so bargain.
Online, Russian goods come through the importer’s Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and Tiki stores. Delivery terms from the Russian shops themselves are not published, so buy fresh dairy in person.
What to choose: the short answer
Start in the centre: Moonmilk and Butter & Cream both have published addresses, and between them they cover buckwheat, kefir and cottage cheese. Kvass, smoked sausages and sunflower oil are in the WinMart corner, and fruit is at the markets. Call before you go, because the opening hours come from one directory and one travel agency.
